Luca Argel
Voice
Brazilian singer and composer, a native of Rio de Janeiro, with a degree in music from UNIRIO. He holds a master’s degree in Literature from the University of Porto, in Portugal. Migrated overseas in 2012 to study, and stayed.
He is vocalist and composer of the groups Samba Sem Fronteiras and Orquestra Bamba Social, with whom he shares the joy of spreading the sound and poetry of Brazilian music in Portugal.
He divides his time between the stage and other projects, such as soundtracks for dance and cinema, radio shows and podcasts dedicated to Brazilian music, and literary production.
He has published books of poetry in Brazil, Spain, and Portugal. One of them was a semi-finalist in the 2017 Oceanos Award, considered one of the most important literary awards among Portuguese-speaking countries.
