Synopsis

The Matosinhos String Quartet (QCM) was created by the Matosinhos City Council and has been giving regular concerts in the city.

In 2014/15, it was chosen as one of the ECHO Rising Stars, performing a tour of 16 concerts in some of the most important concert halls in Europe. The QCM also performs in the largest Portuguese concert halls and collaborates with some of the most outstanding Portuguese musicians.

The QCM cherishes the Portuguese repertoire for string quartet, performing lesser-known works, and has already premiered more than 20 new works.
