Cellist at cello express ensemble and opus duo
Tiago Azevedo e Silva was recently laureate in national and international competitions, thus getting the opportunity to schedule solo concerts with an orchestra and recitals at festivals.
Tiago has a great interest in the creation and development of artistic-cultural projects, hence the emergence of the “Porto Cello Festival” in which he is artistic director together with Teresa Soares. In 2020 he co-founded a voluntary association – Sorrisos d’Arte.
He began his musical studies with Professor Ricardo Mota at the Lisbon Academy of Music and graduated from Professor Filipe Quaresma’s class at ESMAE with maximum marks. He currently attends, with a grant of Gulbenkian Scholarship, the Masters in Cello at Hochschule Luzern with Professor Guido Schiefen. Integrates Opus Duo together with guitarist Francisco Berény and is a founding member of Ensemble Pessoa, and the Cello ensemble of Porto Cello Festival.
