Elide Sulsenti, cellist, was born on July 15, 1999. After her graduation at the Conservatorio di Cagliari (IT) and the achievement of the Master of Arts in Performance in Lugano (CH) in Erico Dindo’s class, she’s attending now a Master Specialized in Interpretation of Contemporary Music at the Hochschule Luzern.
Active in the field of new music, she recently won the Fritz Gerber Award 2023, assigned by the Lucerne Festival every year to three young performers. In 2022 and 2023 she attended the Lucerne Festival Academy and the Hans Zender Akademie, and she became member of the contemporary ensemble of Vadstena-Akademien (SE). Recently, she started working for the Centro Studi Luciano Berio (IT), for research and performances. Elide regularly works as a solo and orchestra musician, being a stable member of the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra and the Istantanea Ensemble in Bologna, and giving solo concerts for many institutions like Filarmonica Romana (IT), Connect Festival (SE) and others. In the years, she collaborated with many composers and conductors like Enno Poppe, Susanna Mälkki, In 2024 she’s holding a workshop on the new music for cello solo for the composition students at the University of Lund (SE).
