SOFIA GOMES

Sofia Gomes received her first cello lessons at Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave (Santo Tirso, Portugal) with professors Jean Pipal and António Ferreira. 

In 2008, she was invited to be a cello teacher at Conservatório Metropolitano and Conservatório de Música e Artes Dramáticas in Lisbon. In the same year, she concluded her bachelor in cello performance and orchestra at Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra with professor Paulo Gaio Lima. Between 2011 and 2013 she was a teacher at the National Conservatory of Music in Lisbon. Since 2013 she is a cello teacher at Escola Casa Pia in Lisbon. She holds a master in Cello Pedagogy from Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra/Universidade Lusíada, Lisbon.
